South Hills is a landfill located in South Park Township, PA.
The South Hills landfill had a gas upgrading facility built in 2007 but had been idle for several years because the landfill gas supply agreement needed to be renegotiated and additional capital investment was needed.
In 2022, Neu Energy Solutions stepped in to buy the facility, refurbish the equipment, and renegotiate the landfill gas supply agreement.
The landfill’s biogas is now upgraded to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) to fuel vehicles across the U.S sustainably.
